A Winter Wedding at Newton Hall
There are sometimes very special days like Kaitlyn and James’ where you can physically feel the love in the air from morning until night. Yesterday at Newton Hall was exactly that.
Kaitlyn moved from America to England for university where she met James and yesterday her family crossed the Atlantic to be there for their wedding day. What struck me instantly wasn’t just how far everyone had come, it was how deeply connected they all were. Every bridesmaid, every groomsman, every family member - they were each other’s biggest cheerleaders. The kindest souls. The warmest energy. The loudest laughter. It was the most beautiful thing to witness.
The Bridal Hall
Newton Hall’s bridal suite was glowing from the moment I arrived. Neutral, elegant, completely drenched in winter sunlight. There was such a calm to the morning despite a big bridal party. The kind of steady joy that comes when you know you’re exactly where you’re meant to be.
Kaitlyn wore a gown by WONA Concept and it was truly unreal. Structured yet romantic, sculpted yet soft. The corseted bodice, the full skirt, the way it caught the light- it felt editorial and timeless all at once. Watching her step into it in that glowing suite felt cinematic. Every detail was intentional and she looked breathtaking.
Before the ceremony, Kaitlyn and James chose to have a private first look and it was one of those moments that makes you quietly step back and just let it unfold. It wasn’t dramatic or performative. It was steady and emotional in a grounded, authentic way.
The winter sun stayed with us all day, casting the most flattering, golden light across the grounds. Newton Hall in winter has a kind of understated magic. Crisp air. Pale skies. And yesterday, sunshine streamed through the trees, creating the most romantic silhouettes. The images feel cinematic and timeless.
As the light faded and the celebrations began, Kaitlyn changed into a pearl slip dress — effortlessly elegant and completely different in mood from her ceremony gown. The transition from structured bridal glamour to relaxed evening sophistication felt so intentional, stylish, and quietly confident.
